Stoner Determined to Achieve Victory

Ping your blog, website, or RSS feed for Free Print Friendly and PDF Le Mans - Casey Stoner was excited. Repsol Honda rider's pledge to return to feel the sweetness of victory in the French MotoGP on Sunday night.

Stoner's race had looked set to dominate this season, following a scintillating performance at the start of the MotoGP season in Qatar. Damn, the former star was not able to finish Ducati at Jerez, after being hit by Valentino Rossi, and only a third finish at Estoril.

However, convincing performance again is shown by Stoner in free practice and qualifying sessions at the French MotoGP. Practically, these results open the hope of former 2007 world champion for a second victory this season.


"We're all very pleased with this qualification. We focus on the setting motor this afternoon, starting from one motor to another motor, to improve motor performance,"commented Stoner after qualification, as reported by Autosports, Sunday (15/05/2011).

"The conditions are perfect for the time being, is a bit windy. So it is very difficult to see if your performance improves or not. However, my Honda works very well and the maximum, which looks very nice,"said racer from Australia.

"This is our third pole position this season. However, we were only able to convert to win one of three previous races. So, we expect a bit of luck at Le Mans and won the victory," he said.
