It was supposed to be the night when England came of age.
Instead, it was a case of boys against men in a game that began with English Grand Slam dreams and ended in abject defeat.
England were overwhelmed and
overpowered by an Ireland team who taught them a severe lesson with the
World Cup six months and just three August warm-up games away.
